Heightened Yoga™

Once again, Sandra forced me to step outside of my comfort zone, and Icouldn’t be more grateful. I’ve dabbled with yoga once or twicebefore, but it never felt like a complete workout. Going into my firstforay with Heightened Yoga™, I may have been shade overconfident.
Just minutes in, however, my misplaced confidence was substituted withpain – and plenty of sweat. Through the duration of the workout,Sandra pushed the limits of my body’s flexibility as well as my coreand upper body strength. The suspension harnesses really revved up thechallenge exponentially. By the conclusion, no doubt remained in mymind about the legitimacy of this class, and I knew I would be signingup for the next session.  Heightened Yoga™ is truly something that mustbe experienced.

Confessions of a Party Boy…

I have not been good to my body in the past. Coming fresh off a stint  of living in a fraternity house then studying abroad in Madrid, Spain  for the last year, I was in bad shape. The best word I could use to  describe myself at that point in time is… sloppy. I ate and drank what I  wanted with little damage control in the form of physical activity.  Recognizing I had a problem, I decided to enroll in rehab.
I discovered Sandra’s boot camp through Living Social and decided to  give it a run. During the first few weeks of boot camp, I was not sure  how long I could keep it up. The workouts were even more challenging  than I had imagined, and each day has been a struggle. However, Sandra  and the other trainers have truly known when to push me and get the best  out of me, and they have helped me regain the confidence in myself that  I once had. Now, two months in, I have seen dramatic results and more  importantly have begun a lifestyle change, recognizing that the journey  to getting back into shape in a marathon and not a sprint.
I plan to periodically blog about my progress, and what I’m sure will  be continued success incorporating Sandra’s workouts and her meal  plans.
